Dust becomes airborne in an industrial
environment in several operations. It may happen during
loading/unloading of material, it may be kicked up by
vehicles, it may be carried by thermally induced wind
current, or it may be picked up off the ground or stockpile
by ambient winds.
The meteorological wind speed is adjusted to topographical
and physical conditions at the site with the help of
Wind Screen/Fencing system after carefully evaluating
the causes of dust generation, site topography, local
acceleration, wind break and localized turbulence etc.
It is a unique method of dust control and goes hand
in hand with Dust Suppression Systems and largely contributes
to Total Material Control (TMC). Wind Screen/Fencing
greatly enhances the performance of Dust Suppression
Systems, particularly the dry fog type.
